Lately it occurs to me what a long, strange trip its been.

Well it was only a matter of time before I started quoting the Grateful Dead. But holy crow, truer words have not been spoken.

I was reading my 501 ESSENTIAL BACKGAMMON PROBLEMS book while drinking a coffee this morning and it dawned upon me - Angelina Jolie is BOTH John Voight’s daughter and was in Cyborg 2. Not sure how any other serious actress can compete with that.

I don’t claim to know a lot about advertising. I’m a scientist, I suppose and would only consider managing traffic and advertisements a ’sideline’ or ‘hobby’.

But what I have discovered is this; On the Internet, most rules that may have been ‘classic’ rules in advertising go out the window. I’ve paid traditional copywriters to deliver adverts to me for non-traditional products with dismal results. Many times, people whose careers had been writing print or media adverts, following tried and true methods gave me stuff that produced abysmal resuts.

Wasted money?

No. Lesson Learned.

Ranting much? I think so.

Anyhow, somehow this wad of text I just wrote relates to I saw this online today. I found it made me smile.

Last night on LOST, Ben took Locke to see this mysterious guy on the island named Jacob. He lived in this old shack. I was really hoping they would open the door and find you in there playing cards and drinking.

I’m not really sure why, but I fell over in the shower this morning. One moment I was holding a bar of soap and the next, kablamo ! - On the ground looking at my knees. I didn’t hit my head or suffer any damage…

The cause? Unsure. I think I’m suffering from extreme desert withdrawal.

Or perhaps I’m not drinking enough of AquaFina Plus Plus Vitamin Enhanced Water with Antioxidant Vitamins C&E. The label clearly recommends that I drink it twice daily, and I’ve only drank it once.. ever.

Oh well, now that MJD is a rocket scientist in San Diego I can see those famous amber waves of… sand anytime I like for cheap rent. Perhaps he could also explain to me how a guy from McLeod Hill gets to work with NASA.

The weather is heating up and so is my burning desire to shake off all responsibility and hit up Fundy park for a rasher of camping and slice n’ shank golf. That day is coming soon. I can feel it in my bones. Hell, I haven’t had a vacation in almost 8 days.

Sorry, I was distracted by signing the petition online directed to California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to get Paris Hilton pardoned from her jail sentence. She’s an intelligent and positive role model and does so much good in this world, I would hate to see her spend time in the klink.

It would honestly be a step backward in social progress to incarcerate someone of her caliber and importance. In fact, I believe the whole situation is another George Bush conspiracy.

Hrmmph.. perhaps I DID hit my head in the shower when I fell….
