Thanks in part to Don Cherry’s Endorsed ColdFX, I am feeling somewhat better today, but still crummy. Grapes’ formula is a massive dose over 3 days of Ginseng and others swear by it. Why not, I say. Why not.

I also have a preferred method of sick-kicking. I load up huge on the tabasco in everything I eat. Just massive overload - total heat. Had a bowl of chicken noodle soup with a Tbsp of hot sauce last night, and 2 pitas with lettuce and Frank’s. Why? Perhaps somewhere in my degrading psyche I have associated heat with disease curing, I’m not sure.

I propose this ginseng-tabasco method be documented as the Cherry-Sanford Illness Modulus. I will write the New England Journal of Medicine with my discovery.

Olivia, of course, feels I should go to the doctor, but surrounding myself by those ’sick people’, I might actually get REALLY sick. After all, everyone knows that doctors don’t really do anything. Well most doctors, mabye not here.

Man I’m sick lately. Throat feels like razorblades and had a very strange dream last night. Nothing like my recurring Sausage Fingers dream but still enough to rattle me a bit.

Went to the mall yesterday and bought a new pillow after Olivia’s friend told me a disturbing story about old pillows. Trust me, if your pillow is more than 3 years old, ditch it ASAP. It’s worth the $20 for a new one. The mall is always a great place for my favorite pass-time - people spotting.

Big rush this week on everything - too many things to do in too little time. I’m trying to get perscription dive goggles. 5 days is probably pushing it too close to the wire.

But it seems I’m always pushing it too close. Who can pass up action like that.

There is very little better than the Spy Who Loved me theme by Carly Simon. Sure sure, the Lulu ‘Man with the Golden Gun’ theme is great and McCartney’sLive and Let Die” goes without saying but yeesh. It’s hot.

Can anyone believe how cold it is? Makes me regret shaving Wednesday.

And speaking of beating a dead horse, what a waste of our money this is. We don’t need more self-righteous white knights in the world, we need more dialogue and understanding.

Oh well, it’s Friday. That means my new favorite show is on tonight. I’m not sure how funny it would be to the rest of the world, but in the land of Jake, it’s hilarious.

Each day I arrive at work and drink up a fine cup of Staff-Room coffee that tastes somewhat akin to the swill they serve at Dunkin’ Donuts in the states, but also including overtones of the acidic ion-heavy metals. Due to the age of the building, I also suspect the pipes the water passes through are fabricated with lead.

The reason I drink it is simple - it’s cheap ($0.20/cup with canned milk) and convenient. I throw in $2 every week or so and keep track of how many cups I drink.

But this is my dream - some day I am going to invest several dollars in my enjoyment by putting a proper coffee maker and grinder in my office. I will bring in nice beans and I will relax every morning as I prepare and enjoy a fine cup of coffee. Someday. For now, I’m going to loop The Marvellettes’ cover of Please Mr. Postman.

CNN reported this morning that Castro publically referred to the the US as a bunch of ‘cock-a-roaches‘. Only a few historical incidents with mob run american casinos, Michael Corleone / Hyman Roth, and Russian based missles pointed at american cities from Cuban soil while Kevin Costner fought to save the country - I wonder why Cuba and the USA really can’t seem to get along?

But on to more important news - it is snowing again today. Why is this important? Because Hingis lost to Clijsters. It seems that even god is crying over that one.
