I think the first order of business the conservatives need to address is the sacking of Creepo Harper. He’s not winning any elections for them - could it not be more clear? The only thing more disturbing than his response to Belinda Stronach’s actions may well be his hair.
I DID feel bad for The Prince of Pictou - he looked HORRIBLY banged up after her announcement. Apparently she told him last - hopefully digging potatoes will help him out.
And does the Conservative Party really feel this CONSTANT push about the Gomery Inquiry in the media is really causing them to gain ground? Have they forgot the political suicide they comitted via the actions of their leader 15 odd years ago? At least the only thing Paul Martin appears to be guilty of is being ignorant of the actions going on underneath his nose, not bilking the country out of millions.
Made my way down to Casino in Halifax to play some craps but the tables weren’t open on Monday. I only had 1:30 to spend in the casino, so poker was out so I sat my ass at the roulette table. What a losing game that is. $20 went away quick - at the end I had a feeling that 16-17-18 was going to hit HARD so $3 flew away fast.
I saw a confrontation at the 5/10 limit tables. Board was 8 9 10 J 2 and betting was heavy. Total pot was $80 and it was down to 2 players. First player gets called on a $10 bet and shows J 6 unsuited. A player not in the pot yells “straight to jack!” and the second player (gangster type with big tats) gets disgusted and mucks his hand. Dealer announces “Pot winner with pair of jacks”…
The gangster yelled “Hey man, I had a low straight!”, but since he had mucked it was too late. “Sorry sir, you folded the hand”. He GLARED at the guy who mistakenly announced the hand and started cursing wildly and shaking in his chair. Good times.
Wish I had time to sit down. Watched a few hands and people were throwing money on 3rd pair. $10/$20 looked a little tighter.
Saw some thugs smoking a spliff on the street tonight with a few really young looking hanger on girls. The American Dream in action.
My sister is graduating tomorrow so headed off to there and then back home by tomorrow night.
On a good run lately with Pacific - the 20 man $8 tourneys seem to be ripe for the picking. Hopefully my new Harrington book will reveal some things I haven’t thought of.
